Geometa recently held its annual Implementation Forum, bringing together around 50 industry professionals, including employees and key integrator partners. The two-day event, hosted at the company’s office, was designed to facilitate meaningful dialogue between the implementation, development, marketing, and sales teams. Discussions focused on current processes and future development plans, highlighting the importance of collaboration in delivering cutting-edge solutions.
The Role of Implementers in Digital Transformation
In his opening remarks, Geometa CEO Alexey Dudarev emphasized the pivotal role of implementers in digital transformation:
«Today, it is crucial to establish a common understanding between developers, implementers, customers, and users—everyone involved in digital transformation. Implementers are at the forefront, bridging development and the end user. Achieving success requires a shared vision of the outcomes of our work.»
Alexey also shared insights into Geometa’s ongoing transformation of the development process. The company is focused on enhancing software solutions with built-in metrics, which will track their own performance. A systematic approach has been designed to integrate these metrics into Geometa’s modules, supported by a dedicated team. This transformation aims to improve responsiveness to customer needs, reducing processing times and enhancing solution quality.
Strengthening Partnerships for Greater Success
With 17 years of experience and over 350 successful projects, Geometa’s achievements are not only attributed to its three in-house implementation teams but also to a vast network of partners. This year’s Forum welcomed key partners, including Datum Soft, GISGIS, and Grad Institute of Territorial Planning, who brought their insights and expertise to the table.
The sessions were filled with informative reports and interactive discussions, including the presentation of new Geometa modules. Among the highlights were the upcoming Geometa Maps and Geometa Documents mobile applications, which aim to streamline fieldwork, increase efficiency, and speed up the delivery of municipal services.
New Module Highlights
Several modules in the final stages of development were introduced during the event, including:
Executive Dashboard: This new tool allows for the real-time monitoring of key housing construction metrics. The dashboard includes analytical filters to display data on apartment buildings, urban development potential, and active construction, simplifying monthly reporting and enhancing oversight.
Network Map: This module now incorporates additional topographic layers, enabling a more holistic view of infrastructure and the surrounding environment for better decision-making on network locations and construction planning.
Portal for Interaction with Utility Organizations: Expanded functionality now includes the process for approving engineering communication route projects, optimizing collaboration between municipal authorities and utility companies.
Fostering a Collaborative Atmosphere
In addition to the packed business program, the event emphasized the importance of networking, creating a warm and collaborative atmosphere for participants. Olga Galaktionova, Implementation Project Manager at Datum Soft, expressed the value of in-person meetings:
«I enjoy live communication with colleagues. It’s much easier to collaborate productively when you have met face-to-face. The home-like atmosphere of the event made it even more enjoyable.»
As Alexey Dudarev pointed out, the true value of the Implementation Forum lies in the opportunity to interact with smart, passionate professionals. Anna Sazonova, Deputy IT Director of ITP Grad, also highlighted the significance of such gatherings:
«This event brings together professionals who implement projects across the country, each with different customers, approaches, and experiences. We learn from each other’s successes and challenges, and our collaboration is strengthened by direct interaction with developers.»
The 2024 Implementation Forum underscored the importance of open communication, knowledge sharing, and collective innovation in delivering high-impact solutions that empower municipalities and enhance urban environments. As Geometa continues to evolve, its strong network of partners and commitment to collaboration will remain key drivers of success.
